The 20th Anniversary of the Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous® will be a celebration like no other! Not only will you experience the largest cruisin’ classic car show and the largest automotive celebration of the historic Route 66 Highway, but you will enjoy a reflection of the past 20 years of the Rendezvous with added festivities and fun as we step back in time. You will not want to miss this very special Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous!
The Vehicle Registration is limited to 1,900 pre-1974 classics, customs, hot rods and any year Corvette, Viper or Prowler. Registrants will receive an assigned parking space for the 4-day event, which gives you the opportunity to leave your space to cruise the 35-block area of downtown San Bernardino without having to be concerned that the space will be taken by another classic automobile. As you parade through the streets there will be 500,000 spectators appreciating the finishing touches you’ve made to your masterpiece as they work their way through the vendors, sponsor displays and live entertainment.
The contests continue to be a major part of the fun for registered vehicles. There’s the Neon Light Contest on Thursday, September 17 that turns the streets aglow. On Saturday morning, September 19 is the ever-so-popular Poker Run. Look for some new stops this year as you garner your best poker hand. And, get your engine revved up for The Open Header Contest as you compete to win a rebuilt engine. Saturday evening’s Burnout Contest takes place at the Orange Show Speedway and is open to registered vehicles and the general public as is the Model Car Contest that takes place in the Carousel Mall on Saturday.
In celebration of 20 years of the Rendezvous, watch for a special line-up of live entertainment on The Stater Bros. Court Street Stage including rock ‘n roll music from the 50’s & 60’s, surfin’ and rock-a-billy!
The Rendezvous thanks our vehicle participants, event sponsors and the city and county of San Bernardino for their participation and support, keeping us cruisin’ year after year. And a big thank you to our Organizing Committee and volunteers who are crucial to the continued success of the Rendezvous.
