What is the Burnout Contest?
It doesn't take a lot of power to start the tires smoking, but the longer they smoke, the hotter they get and the better they "Hook up."

Where is the contest held?
The Burnout Contest is held at the Orange Show Speedway.  There is a $10.00 admission fee into the Burnout Contest. Kids 10 years old and younger are admitted free.
· Participants enter from "E" Street, south of Mill Street at Gate #11.
· Spectator parking is at Gate 3 off of Mill Street.

When is the contest held?
Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  You must check-in your vehicle beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Does it cost to enter the contest?
The Burnout Contest is open to the general public and limited to the first 50 vehicles. It cost $15.00 per vehicle.

How do you judge a burnout
?
The winner of each class is determined by the reaction of the crowd - in the judge’s opinion. 

CLASSES:
Freestyle Pro-
Any car or truck considered by tech committee to be a racecar of any kind.  Entrants allowed to burnout in circles or straight. (Time Limit 1-minute)

Freestyle Street-
Any car or truck considered by tech committee to be truly street legal.  Entrants allowed to burnout in circles or straight.  (Time Limit 1-minute)



SMOKIN'

RULES:

  • Contestants must remain within specified area.

  • Contestants agree to stop immediately when checkered flag waves and air horn is sounded.

  • Any infraction of the rules is subject to disqualification and no refund of entry fee.

The winners are announced immediately after the contest on Saturday, September 18, 2010.  The winners will receive a plaque and prizes.
